Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Project Control Engineer/Specialist to join our team in Saudi Arabia. You will provide guidance on complex project control, forecast costs, and manage earned value reporting to support project decisions.

You will set up baseline budgets with WBS, analyze cost status, and coordinate with planning teams. The role requires extensive experience in construction or related projects and proficiency in PMIS, Oracle PM, Primavera, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Finance required.
• +10 years of experience in construction, design or related projects.
• Proficient with PMIS, Oracle PM and Primavera.
• MS Office proficiency with advanced Excel.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Stakeholder management experience.
• Power BI knowledge and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support for complex project control and cost control problems.
• Analyze, evaluate, forecast status against baseline schedule.
• Set up baseline budgets with WBS in coordination with the Project Manager.
• Analyze and report cost status with planning team.
• Prepare and update weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.
• Create resource, revenue, and cost projections for projects.
• Perform variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Utilize historical data for forecasting and planning.
• Monitor progress and perform Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting.
• Support monthly/quarterly reviews and explain variances.
• Assist Project Director with business plan reviews.
• Lead performance reviews and mentor project controls engineers.
• Customize project control systems to meet requirements.
• Coordinate with departments to ensure proper cost charging and visibility.
• Develop and maintain schedules for construction and design projects.
• Support billing and collection processes.
• Prepare trackers/logs for cost information.
• Performs other responsibilities as needed.

Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Control Engineer/ Specialist to join our team!

What You'll Be Doing:

• Provides guidance, direction, and specialized assistance for the resolution of complexprojectcontrol and cost control problems.

• Analyzes, evaluates, and forecasts status against an established baseline schedule.

• Sets up a baseline budget for resources, revenue, and cost using an appropriate WBS in coordination with theProjectManager.

• Analyzes, evaluates, forecasts, and reports about cost status against the established baseline in collaboration with the planning team.

• Prepares and updates on various weekly and monthly cost tracking reports.

• Establishes resource, revenue, and costprojections forprojects in coordination withprojectteams.

• Performs variance analysis against baselineprojections and initiates or recommends corrective actions.

• Utilizes historical data and trends to maintain a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting.

• Monitors and tracksprojectprogress and perform Earned Value Management, including calculation and reporting of EV, EAC and ETC to assess performance and forecast finalprojectcost.

• Participates in monthly and quarterly reviews and supports theprojectteam in explaining variances and justifications.

• Supports theProjectDirector in reviewing and finalizing the business plan.

• Completes performance reviews for direct reports and supports personnel development.

• Customizeprojectcontrol systems to meet specificprojectrequirements.

• Coordinates with other departments to ensure that all costs are properly charged tojobs and that theprojectcost control function has full visibility.

• Develop and maintain schedules for construction and design projects

• Support Billing and Collection process from preparing invoices to coordinating with other stakeholders for timely collection

• Preparation of multiple Trackers / Logs to monitor cost related information and issues.

• Supervise and mentor Project Controls engineers when required

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor of Engineering/Finance

• +10 years of experience in construction, design or other related projects

• Proficient PC skills including proficiency in various Project Controls software (PMIS, Oracle PM related software, Primavera).

• MS Office proficiency plus Excel Advanced knowledge.

• Good communication and team player.

• Stakeholders Management.

• Power BI knowledge and experience
