About The Role

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer to join a leading Saudi bank's technology team, designing and maintaining high‑performance data solutions for the Operational Data Store (ODS) environment. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role suited to a developer with strong Oracle PL/SQL depth and prior exposure to banking or financial‑services data environments, who can work independently on complex data pipelines feeding core banking systems into the ODS.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize complex PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers
• Build and maintain ETL/data‑load routines feeding the ODS from core banking and source systems
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and execution‑plan analysis
• Design data models and support data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation activities
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency across ODS and downstream reporting systems
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to gather data requirements and translate them into database solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve production data issues within agreed SLAs
• Prepare technical documentation, data dictionaries, and unit/system test cases

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands‑on Oracle PL/SQL development experience
• Strong experience with Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c), including performance tuning and indexing strategies
• Solid understanding of data warehousing/ODS concepts, ETL processes, and data modeling
• Experience working with large‑scale banking data (core banking, CRM, AML, or similar)
• Proficiency in shell scripting (Unix/Linux) for job scheduling and automation
