Senior PL/SQL Developer ODS

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior PL/SQL Developer with strong Oracle database development experience to design, develop, and support solutions for an Operational Data Store (ODS) supporting core banking data requirements. The ideal candidate should have proven experience in the banking/financial services domain, with hands‑on expertise in PL/SQL, SQL optimization, ODS/data warehousing, and banking data integration. Experience working on Saudi Arabia-based banking projects is advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize complex SQL and PL/SQL programs, including procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and database jobs.
• Design and maintain ODS data models, database structures, and data flows supporting core banking, cards, payments, and other financial systems.
• Perform SQL and PL/SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and database job optimization.
• Develop and support data integration processes involving multiple banking and financial source systems.
• Participate throughout the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data processing.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation covering database designs, processes, data flows, and implementation details.
• Collaborate with business, application, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver reliable banking data solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in Oracle PL/SQL development.
• Strong expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, packages, triggers, and performance tuning.
• Proven experience working on banking or financial services projects.
• Strong understanding of ODS, data warehousing, data models, and data integration concepts.
• Experience working on banking projects in Saudi Arabia is mandatory.
• Good understanding of core banking, cards, payments, and financial transaction data.
• Knowledge of SAMA regulations and relevant banking compliance requirements, including data privacy, audit, reporting, and data governance.
• Understanding of database security, access controls, data protection, and audit requirements.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.

Experience with database CI/CD and automated deployment processes.

• Exposure to ETL tools and data integration platforms.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban.
• Knowledge of source control and database release management practices.
• Experience supporting large‑scale, high‑volume banking databases.
