Job summary

Wood is seeking an Inplant Principal Piping Layout Engineering Design (SME) to serve as the Technical Authority for energy, oil & gas, mining, industrial and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will lead 3D plant layout and piping arrangement, provide specialist expertise, govern engineering excellence, and mentor teams throughout proposals, FEED, detailed design and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• Chartered Engineer or Professional Engineer status is preferred.
• Minimum twenty years of experience in oil & gas, energy, petrochemical, mining or industrial projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead 3D plant layout and piping arrangement for complex facilities.
• Act as Technical Authority across multiple projects.
• Lead technical reviews during Concept, FEED and Detailed Design.
• Perform independent design assurance and peer reviews.
• Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide guidance.
• Mentor engineers and develop technical capability.
• Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.
