The role combines expert clinical practice with leadership education and operational support to ensure safe, effective, evidence-based patient care. The incumbent will participate in multidisciplinary teams, contribute to quality improvement, and report to the area supervisor.

Qualifications

• Requires Master’s or Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy.
• Grade levels indicate 2–4 years of related experience depending on grade.
• 100 CME hours required.
• Current registration with SCHS or national equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review PT requests and patient records to determine therapy.
• Develop and review individualized goals and plans of treatment.
• Plan and administer PT programs to maximize function and relieve pain.
• Develop treatment protocols and home programs based on evidence-based practice.
• Monitor patient progress and modify plans as needed.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation in the medical record.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare staff on treatment objectives.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.

Job description

Responsible for delivering advanced physical therapy services supervising junior staff internship students volunteer and resident Supporting clinical quality improvement and contributing to service development The role combines expert clinical practice with leadership education and operational support to ensure safe effective and evidence-based patient care Reports to area supervisor.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

• Reviews PT request and patient s records to determine nature of therapy to be given
• Develops implements and regularly review individualized goals and plans of treatment
• Plans and administers PT programs to patients to maximize function relieve pain and prevent disability
• Develop treatment protocols and home programs based on evidence-based practice
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
• Ensures accurate timely and complete documentation in the patient medical record
• Consults with physician and other healthcare personnel regarding treatment objectives
• Liaises with and acts as a resource for other healthcare personnel regarding issues relating to PT
• Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions
• Provides peer review to staff physical therapist rotating through area of specialty and provides information for their performance evaluations and act as a resource for complex cases
• Incorporates quality improvement strategies in clinical practice
• Supports scheduling workload distribution and service coverage as required
• Assists in orientation and competency assessment of new staff
• Participates in quality improvement initiatives clinical audits research activities and or self-education such as presenting in-service or case study
• Follows all Hospital s related policies and procedures
• Participates in self and others education training and development as applicable
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Education

• Master s or Bachelor s Degree in Occupational or Physical Therapy is required

Experience Required

• Grade 09: Two (2) years of related experience with Master s, or four (4) years of related experience with Bachelor's is required.
• Grade10: Four (4) years as Senior Physical Therapist, or (Grade 09) related experience is required.
• Average of annual performance appraisal at least (3.5) for the last four (4) years.
• One hundred (100) hours of cumulative continued medical education [CME].

Other Requirements (Certificates)

• Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
