Job summary

Systems Arabia in Riyadh seeks an IBM CP4I OpenShift Operations Engineer to architect, deploy, secure, and manage CP4I on OpenShift across hybrid clouds. You will drive end-to-end administration to ensure high availability and scalable pipelines across platforms.

The role requires deep OpenShift/CP4I expertise, strong security practices, and collaboration with remote teams. English fluency is essential, Arabic preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing production OpenShift clusters and CP4I components.
• Proficiency with SDN/OVN, Ingress/Route, Istio, network policies and container security scanning.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and API lifecycles.
• Analytical, debugging-focused with attention to container density logs and sizing.
• Experience with RHOCP, IBM CP4I, IBM MQ, API Connect, ACE, Event Streams and DataPower.
• Fluent English; Arabic language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage CP4I components such as IBM MQ, API Connect, ACE, Event Streams, and Aspera.

• Design container storage layers and perform zero-downtime upgrades and patches.
• Configure APM dashboards, enable GitOps provisioning, and troubleshoot complex outages.

Job description

We are hiring for IBM CP4I OpenShift Operations/Administrator/Engineer who will be responsible for architecting, deploying, securing, and managing Red Hat OpenShift and IBM CP4I platforms across hybrid cloud environments. This role will focus on the end-to-end administration of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) running on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP) to guarantee high availability and continuous automated pipeline scaling.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan, architect, install, and configure Red Hat OpenShift clusters across hybrid cloud environments, including provisioning the core IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) platform using Operator Lifecycle Managers (OLM).
• Manage and lifecycle-configure core CP4I capabilities through their respective IBM operators, including IBM MQ, API Connect, App Connect (ACE), Event Streams (Kafka), and Aspera.
• Secure cluster infrastructures by enforcing Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), managing Red Hat OpenShift OAuth integrations, Keycloak/IAM identity layers, and SSL/TLS certificate configurations.
• Architect container persistent storage layers using Software-Defined Storage engines and schedule seamless cluster upgrades, security patching, and node updates with a zero-downtime objective.
• Configure APM surveillance dashboards, automate multi-tenant provisioning using GitOps paradigms, and systematically troubleshoot complex cluster degradation events, persistent volume failures, and pod networking drops.

Job Requirements

• Deep, practical engineering experience managing production-grade Red Hat OpenShift clusters and administeringIBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I) components.
• Solid knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN/OVN), Ingress/Route architectures, service meshes (Istio), network policies, and container security compliance scanning.
• Strong technical comprehension of enterprise integration patterns, containerized message-queuing mechanics, and API lifecycle architectures.
• Exceptional analytical and systemic debugging capabilities, possessing a high technical attention to container density logs and compute sizing variables.
• Core Development Environments: Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP), OKD, Kubernetes, CoreOS, IBM CP4I, IBM MQ, API Connect, ACE, Event Streams, DataPower.
• Networking, Core APIs & Engines:Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation (ODF), Ceph, Portworx, CSI plugins, AWS EBS/EFS.
• Coordinates systematic fixes and clear mitigation strategies under pressure, keeping high-availability platforms operational.
• Effectively collaborates across remote and hybrid teams, translating complex container infrastructure into clear deployment guidance
• Champions automation, infrastructure-as-code consistency, and platform compliance while minimizing manual configuration practices.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical system discipline.
