Client of Eram Talent seeks a Metallurgy Engineer to provide materials and metallurgical support for component fabrication, repair, qualification, and failure prevention in oil and gas services.

The role emphasizes material selection, characterization, and process control across casting, forging, welding, cladding, additive manufacturing, machining, and heat treatment while mentoring staff and ensuring industry-standard compliance.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in metallurgy/materials; advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years in metallurgical or materials engineering in industrial settings.
• 8+ years supporting manufacturing, repair or failure analysis.
• Expertise in ferrous/nonferrous metallurgy, phase transformations, heat treatment, welding, corrosion, fracture, fatigue, wear.

Mansioni

• Select metals, alloys, heat treatments and acceptance requirements based on strength, toughness, temperature, corrosion, wear and manufacturability.
• Plan and interpret metallography, microstructure and material characterization to confirm material condition.
• Provide metallurgical control for casting, forging, welding, cladding, additive manufacturing, machining and heat treatment.
• Investigate cracking, corrosion, erosion, embrittlement, creep, fatigue and wear; identify root cause and recommend corrective action.
• Develop material specifications and test plans; review certificates and deviations; mentor personnel.
