Morson Edge is seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support RSAF Typhoon aircraft maintenance in Taif, Saudi Arabia. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise mechanical maintenance activities to uphold airworthiness and safety standards.

The role requires a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship, 10 years post-qualification experience (or 5 years on Typhoon) and at least 2 years in supervision.

Competenze

• Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering trade apprenticeship.
• NVQ/C&G Level 3 in a relevant technical discipline, or Part 66 licence (current or lapsed).
• Minimum of 10 years post-qualification practical experience in an operational flying aircraft environment, or at least 5 years on the same aircraft type.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within aircraft maintenance.

Mansioni

• Plan and coordinate all scheduled mechanical maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft.
• Carry out and oversee disassembly, cleaning, inspection, fault diagnosis, minor rectification, and embodiment of modifications and STOs.
• Prioritise tasks to meet operational requirements and programme demands.
• Identify and escalate issues potentially impacting the maintenance programme.
• Ensure airworthiness and safety in line with RSAF/DA publications and SMU QMS.
• Verify personnel qualifications and authorisations for tasks.
• Conduct independent inspections within trade boundaries.
• Maintain high standards of attention to detail and workmanship.
• Optimise planning to minimise overtime.
• Provide supervision as required and address performance issues.
• Deputise for the Aircraft Team Leader when needed.
• Identify training needs and skill gaps within the team.
• Ensure compliance with SMU Quality Systems and RSAF technical publications.
