Morson Edge are seeking an experienced Mechanical Technician Supervisor to lead scheduled maintenance on Typhoon aircraft in Saudi Arabia. The role combines hands-on technical work with supervisory responsibilities to ensure airworthiness and safety in a fast-paced defence environment.

The successful candidate will oversee inspections, modifications, and testing, manage a maintenance team, and sustain aircraft availability in line with technical publications and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship.
• NVQ / ONC / OND / BTEC Level in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Part 66 Licence (current or lapsed) or equivalent.
• 7 years post-qualification experience in operational aircraft maintenance, or 3 years on Typhoon.
• Evidence of formal, recorded workplace training.
• Typhoon Q Course or equivalent training.

Responsabilités

• Carry out scheduled mechanical maintenance in line with approved maintenance programmes.
• Perform inspections, modifications, component removal/installation, and system testing.
• Diagnose faults and support aircraft recovery activities.
• Supervise maintenance personnel, ensuring compliance with all technical and safety standards.
• Maintain aircraft airworthiness in accordance with relevant technical publications and mandates.
• Hold Second Signature responsibilities, verifying accuracy and compliance of completed work.
• Conduct independent inspections where required.
• Perform daily inspections to support planned maintenance schedules.
• Ensure all aircraft and SMU documentation is completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and FOD control.
• Ensure all personal authorisations and certifications remain current.
• Identify and address training or competency gaps within the team.
• Support Quality Assurance investigations and technical queries.
• Comply with all applicable quality systems, procedures, and technical publications.
