Job summary

Penspen is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating for a major FEED project in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on leading rotating equipment engineering for FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases.

You will develop data sheets, specifications, and requisitions for rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers, and packaged systems, and review vendor bids ensuring compliance with API/ASME/ISO standards. Based in Alkhafji.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering.
• Experience leading rotating equipment activities for FEED/EPC projects.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• We are looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer-Rotating to join our engineering team for a major Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) project.
• Lead the rotating equipment engineering activities for FEED, detailed design, and EPC phases of oil & gas projects.
• Develop data sheets, specifications, and requisitions for rotating equipment such as compressors, pumps, turbines, blowers, and packaged systems.
• Review vendor offers, perform technical bid evaluations, and participate in vendor meetings and design reviews.
• Ensure compliance with API, ASME, ISO, and other relevant international standards.
• Coordinate with process, piping, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines for equipment integration.
• Review vendor documents (GA drawings, datasheets, performance curves, etc.) and ensure timely approval.
• Provide technical support during procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases.
• Participate in HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, and design review workshops.
• Mentor junior engineers and review their deliverables for quality and accuracy.
• Support client and internal audits and ensure adherence to project quality and safety standards.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and experience in major brownfield FEED/EPC projects will be an advantage for the candidate.

The job location will be based on Alkhafji , Saudi Arabia.
