Job summary

AMANA is seeking a Senior Mechanical Technical Engineer to support regional projects in the Dammam area. You will review mechanical designs, BIM models, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and client expectations, while guiding multidisciplinary coordination throughout the lifecycle.

The role requires 6+ years in mechanical engineering and MEP coordination, with expertise in HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and BIM tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
6+ years in mechanical engineering and MEP coordination on large projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems.
Proficient with Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD in BIM workflows.
Solid understanding of Saudi regulations, ASHRAE, SMACNA and NFPA.

Responsibilities

Lead review and validation of mechanical designs to meet codes and standards.
Develop and approve detailed design drawings, shop drawings, and reports.
Coordinate with BIM team for model updates and clash resolution.
Review designs by third parties for architectural, structural, and MEP compatibility.
Prepare and issue IFP/IFF, shop drawings, and SFC drawings per project schedule.
Perform engineering calculations and design reviews for constructability.
Provide site support and resolve execution challenges with teams.
Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and procurement.
Prepare technical scopes and assist with material submissions and prequalification.
Monitor progress and ensure quality, safety, cost and schedule goals.
Identify value engineering opportunities during execution.
Lead engineering activities across multiple projects as technical focal point.
Mentor junior engineers and maintain proper project documentation.
