Job summary

AtkinsR alis is seeking a qualified Senior Manager Transport Planner with at least 15 years of traffic engineering and transport planning experience to lead studies in the Middle East. The role requires a degree in civil engineering, strong command of transport planning standards, and the ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects.

English communication, supervision, and client-facing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent; minimum 15 years of traffic engineering and transport planning experience.
• Knowledge of Middle East and International Transport Planning standards and procedures.
• Master's degree in transport planning or equivalent field is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments, traffic impact studies, or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.
• Understand transport planning, traffic engineering and travel demand theory.
• Project experience in the Middle East and familiarity with local transport planning standards and practices.
• Prepare reports including existing conditions analyses, trip generation, junction analysis and parking assessments.
• Must communicate in English effectively, both written and spoken; learn and retain new skills quickly; work with limited supervision.
• Support growth of the Atkins Transport Planning Business and sell Atkins services generally.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified Senior Manager Transport Planner with between 15 Years experience to join our Transport Planning and Strategic Advisory Business Unit in the Middle East. The candidate must be a degree-qualified professional with a minimum of 15 years of traffic engineering transport planning and traffic modelling experience in the Middle East.

Your role

• This role requires contributing to a variety of transport planning studies including large scale transport master plan assessments traffic impact studies or multi-disciplinary planning projects in the public and private sectors.
• Understanding of transport planning traffic engineering and travel demand theory.
• Project experience in the Middle East and familiarity with local transport planning standards and practices.
• Practical understanding of the role and importance of transport planning in development access and citywide mobility plans.
• Experience in undertaking junction analysis to support the traffic impact assessments.
• Contribute to preparation of reports including existing conditions analyses trip generation junction analysis and parking assessments.
• Must be able to communicate in English effectively both written and spoken.
• Must be able to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
• Must be able to work with limited supervision.
• Some experience project financial management.
• Competence to assist in growing the Atkins Transport Planning Business as well as to sell Atkins services generally.

About you
