Job summary

Atkins Realis Group in Riyadh seeks a qualified Traffic Inspector to support traffic management on active road construction sites. You will inspect diversion setups, monitor traffic flow and coordinate with authorities to uphold safety and compliance.

The role requires a Civil Engineering/Transportation degree and at least 10 years on-site traffic experience, with knowledge of traffic control devices and Saudi regulations. You will prepare daily reports and enforce TMPs.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering, Transportation or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of hands-on site experience in traffic inspection or traffic diversions on road construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of traffic control devices, safety procedures and diversion execution.
• Experience working with live traffic environments and fast-paced construction sites.
• Ability to interpret and enforce Traffic Management Plans (TMPs).
• Strong communication and coordination skills with contractors and authorities.
• Familiarity with Saudi traffic regulations and standards.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and verify traffic diversion setups on site as per approved TMPs.
• Monitor live traffic conditions and recommend corrective actions for safety and smooth flow.
• Ensure proper installation and maintenance of signage, barriers, cones, delineators and lighting.
• Conduct site assessments to identify risks and provide safe movement solutions for vehicles and pedestrians.
• Coordinate with contractors, site engineers and government authorities on diversions.
• Ensure compliance with local traffic regulations and safety standards.
• Report non-conformities and follow up on rectifications.
• Prepare daily site inspection reports and maintain accurate documentation.
