Job summary

AtkinsR alis seeks a senior civil engineer to provide technical leadership on road and infrastructure projects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. You will review geometry, drainage, and utilities while coordinating with designers, contractors and authorities.

Regular site inspections and supervision of earthworks, pavements and structures ensure quality and safety. Strong knowledge of KS A standards and Civil 3D/OpenRoads is essential for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with strong focus on road and infrastructure drawings.
• Minimum 12+ years of experience in road construction supervision.
• Proven knowledge of KSA road standards and construction practices.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D, MX Road, OpenRoads or similar software.
• Understanding of traffic management and site safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on roads, highways and infrastructure projects.
• Review road geometry, pavement designs, drainage and utilities coordination.
• Collaborate with design consultants, contractors and construction teams.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and compliance.
• Supervise earthworks, asphalt, concrete works and drainage infrastructure.

• Monitor performance against schedule, quality, and safety benchmarks.
• Prepare technical reports, NCRs and progress documentation.
• Act as technical interface between AtkinsR alis, client and authorities.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight on all roads highways and infrastructure works ensuring full compliance with KSA standards client requirements and international best practices
• Review and assess road geometry pavement designs drainage systems utilities coordination and traffic management plans
• Collaborate closely with design consultants contractors and construction teams to review drawings specifications calculations and construction methodologies
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress quality and compliance with approved designs specifications and safety requirements
• Supervise and monitor earthworks asphalt works concrete works culverts road furniture and associated infrastructure
• Review and approve method statements material submittmits shop drawings and temporary traffic management plans related to road works
• Identify construction risks non conformances and technical challenges proposing practical and timely engineering solutions
• Coordinate with contractors subcontractors utility authorities and suppliers to resolve technical and interface issues
• Monitor contractor performance against schedule quality and safety benchmarks reporting progress and risks to the project team
• Prepare and review technical reports inspection records NCRs correspondence and progress documentation
• Act as a technical interface between AtkinsR alis the client contractors and relevant local authorities on all road related engineering matters
