Job summary

Qiddiya Investment Company seeks a senior leader to guide the early planning and development of hotel and hospitality assets. You will align masterplanning, asset positioning, operator strategy and commercial assumptions before transitioning to development execution.

The role focuses on real estate development and asset creation, not hospitality consulting or hotel operations. 8–12+ years of experience in hotel real estate development is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead hotel and hospitality assets from concept, feasibility and positioning through development readiness.
• Translate destination vision into hospitality asset strategies and briefs.
• Define hotel type, brand positioning and room mix in line with market demand.
• Lead feasibility studies, budgets and financial assumptions with investment teams.
• Drive operator and brand selection including RFPs and negotiations.
• Coordinate design teams to embed operational requirements.
• Manage risks and approvals before handover to execution teams.

Job description

This role with Qiddiya is going to be lead the early planning and development of hotel and hospitality assets, ensuring that masterplanning, asset positioning, operator strategy, design requirements and commercial assumptions are aligned before transition into development execution. The role is focused on real estate development and asset creation, not hospitality consulting or hotel operations.

Several hospitality assets are progressing into early-stage development. Dedicated hotel development expertise is required to align stakeholders, define each asset, establish viable project assumptions and position assets for successful delivery and long-term operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead hotel and hospitality assets from concept, feasibility and positioning through project definition and development readiness.
• Translate the destination vision and masterplan into clear hospitality asset strategies, development briefs, scope and delivery requirements.
• Define hotel type, classification, brand positioning, target market, room mix, amenities and guest experience in line with market demand.
• Lead market assessments, feasibility studies, business cases, development budgets and financial assumptions with investment and finance teams.
• Drive hotel operator and brand selection, including RFPs, proposal evaluation, commercial assessment and support for management agreement negotiations.
• Coordinate architects, designers, project managers, technical specialists and operators to embed operational requirements into the design.
• Manage development risks, key decisions, approvals, schedules and stakeholder alignment before handover to execution teams.

• Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Hospitality or a related field. A relevant master's degree is preferred.
• 8 to 12+ years of experience in hotel real estate development, mixed-use development, destination development or hospitality investment.
• Proven experience progressing hotel assets through feasibility, concept, planning, operator selection and design development stages.
• Experience working for a real estate developer, hotel developer, mixed-use developer or hospitality investment and development platform.
• Strong understanding of hotel development economics, operator agreements, brand standards, design coordination and development governance.
