Job summary

Qiddiya is recruiting a Senior Manager - Commercial for its Racecourse project in Riyadh. The role oversees procurement and commercial management of about SAR 3 billion in provisional sums within a Management Contractor under a FIDIC-based contract.

You will lead the Commercial Leads, coordinate tender information with design teams, and manage post-award variations, valuations and disputes, while ensuring robust governance and reporting.

Qualifications

• Honours bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of commercial and procurement experience on major construction projects.
• Experience with Management Contracting and FIDIC-based procurement environments.
• MRICS is preferred but not essential.

What the role covers

Qiddiya is recruiting a Senior Manager - Commercial for its Racecourse project in Riyadh. The role covers procurement and commercial management of about SAR 3 billion of provisional sum works packages delivered through a Management Contractor under a FIDIC-based contract, with responsibility continuing from procurement strategy to final account.

The manager will direct Commercial Leads and other commercial staff, coordinate the release of tender information with design teams, and oversee the Management Contractor's procurement and package awards.

Supply chain work includes:

• expressions of interest
• contractor assessments
• prequalification
• interviews
• site visits

Duties also include evaluating tenders, conducting clarification meetings and commercial negotiations, and preparing reports and governance papers for internal approvals. After award, the manager will work with Package Commercial Managers and the Management Contractor on variations, valuations, claims and other contractual matters.

The posting requires an honours bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline and at least 10 years of commercial and procurement experience on major construction or infrastructure projects. Experience in Management Contracting and FIDIC-based procurement environments is required. MRICS is preferred but not essential, and applicants must demonstrate experience leading large teams across concurrent packages.
