Job summary

WSP seeks a Senior Landscape/Hardscape Specialist for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. You will lead design projects for roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways, with a strong focus on site supervision and regulatory compliance. 15+ years in consultancy and proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite are essential.

You will guide junior designers, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with clients and authorities to obtain approvals and ensure quality on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years of experience in landscape architecture or hardscape design within consultancy, with site supervision for infrastructure projects.
• Strong design skills and proficiency in landscape design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Knowledge of plant materials, irrigation systems, and construction materials for hardscape elements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, or related field; Master's preferred.
• Professional licensure or registration as a Landscape Architect is advantageous.
• Experience on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address requirements and approvals.
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design specs on site visits.
• Review contractor submittals, RFIs, and design changes related to landscape elements.
• Prepare design presentations, reports, and stakeholder documentation.
• Stay updated on trends and best practices in landscape architecture and hardscape design.

Your new role, what's involved?

We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape/Hardscape Specialist to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of experience, specifically in interface management roles within the consultancy sector, with a strong background in site supervision for projects such as roads, tunnels, bridges, and highways.

Responsibilities:

• Lead landscape and hardscape design projects, including concept development, detailed design, and construction supervision.
• Develop landscape and hardscape plans, drawings, and specifications in accordance with project requirements and regulatory standards.
• Conduct site assessments, environmental analyses, and feasibility studies to inform design decisions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, engineers, and planners, to integrate landscape and hardscape designs into overall project plans.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior landscape architects and design team members.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address landscape and hardscape design requirements, resolve technical issues, and obtain necessary approvals.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, and compliance with design specifications during site visits and inspections.
• Review and evaluate contractor submittals, RFIs, and proposed design changes related to landscape and hardscape elements.
• Prepare design presentations, reports, and documentation for client meetings and project stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, innovations, and best practices in landscape architecture and hardscape design.
