Job summary

Norconsult Telematics Limited is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead multiple complex initiatives. You will define scope, craft plans, manage cross‑functional teams and vendors, and ensure delivery within time and budget while meeting quality and security standards.

The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, executive reporting and proven delivery of AI/digital transformation projects in government or semi-government contexts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering; master’s preferred.
• 8–12 years IT project management experience leading complex, multidisciplinary initiatives.
• PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables and acceptance criteria.
• Develop integrated project plans, schedules and resource allocations across multiple teams and projects.
• Lead cross-functional teams, vendors and external partners, ensuring accountability and effective coordination.
• Engage executive and operational stakeholders and maintain structured communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage risks, issues and dependencies, including IT/AI initiatives, with mitigation plans.
• Monitor project performance through dashboards and management tools; address deviations in scope, schedule and budget.
• Manage budgets, financial controls and scope changes to optimise costs while maintaining delivery quality.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, cybersecurity standards and governance frameworks.
• Act as the primary escalation point for project issues and coordinate timely resolution.
• Lead status meetings and provide senior management with progress, risks and financial reports.
• Coordinate with technical teams for architectural alignment, deployment readiness and handover.
• Oversee quality assurance, validate deliverables and obtain stakeholder acceptance.
• Manage vendor performance and SLAs to ensure contractual value.
• Conduct post-project reviews and capture lessons learned to drive PMO improvements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline. Master’s degree in a preferred.
• 8–12 years of IT project management experience leading complex, multidisciplinary initiatives.
• Proven experience managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
• Strong stakeholder management, vendor governance and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Experience in project planning, budgeting, resource management, risk management and performance reporting.
• Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-ACP, PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent.
• Strong communication, negotiation and executive reporting skills.
• Experience delivering AI, advanced technology, digital transformation or software development projects.
• Experience in government or semi-government environments.
