Job summary

Maaden is seeking an experienced geologist to provide advanced geological expertise in exploration, resource evaluation, and mine planning. The role focuses on improving data quality, confidence in resources, and sustainable mining operations.

The successful candidate will lead geological modelling, resource estimation, and technical reporting, coordinating with planning and operations to guide strategic decisions and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or related discipline.
• Master’s degree or relevant professional membership preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in mining, exploration, or resource geology.
• Experience in geological modelling, resource estimation, drilling, and technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Geological analysis and modelling: conducts mapping, sampling, logging, data interpretation; develops and reviews geological models and resource reports.
• Exploration and operational support: plans drilling programs, evaluates targets, advises planning, engineering and operations teams.
• Standards and improvement: maintains data, documentation and reporting standards; monitors risks and regulatory requirements; mentors junior personnel.
