Job summary

SAUDI ARABIAN RESOURCES COMPANY in Riyadh is seeking a knowledgeable Fixed Asset Specialist to maintain the integrity of the asset register and manage additions, transfers, and disposals in the ERP system.

You will execute monthly depreciation runs, allocate costs to cost centers, and perform physical verifications to ensure asset existence and condition. Collaborate with Operations, Procurement and HSE for accurate data and compliant disposal practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of five years fixed assets accounting experience, preferably in industrial/manufacturing.
• Strong IFRS knowledge with IAS 16 focus.
• Proficient in ERP asset management (SAP/Oracle/MD) and advanced Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain fixed asset register: record additions, transfers and disposals in the ERP system.
• Run monthly depreciation and allocate costs to cost centers such as Refining and Laboratory.
• Coordinate periodic physical asset counts at refinery and office locations.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between counts and asset register.
• Review capital expenditure requests for capitalization policy compliance.
• Provide asset schedules and documentation for internal/external audits.
• Process asset write-offs and disposals per policy and regulations.
• Prepare fixed asset disclosures for IFRS-based financial statements.
• Identify opportunities to strengthen fixed asset controls and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Procurement and HSE to ensure accurate asset data.

Financial Reporting

This position prepares fixed asset disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS

Stakeholder Collaboration

The role collaborates with Operations Procurement and HSE teams to ensure accurate asset data and compliant disposal practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• At least five years of experience in fixed assets accounting, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Solid understanding of IFRS, particularly IAS 16 regarding Property, Plant and Equipment.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics for asset management.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation tasks.
• Experience in conducting physical asset inventories and resolving variances.
• Strong analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
