Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal is seeking a Finance Accountant to join the Riyadh team in Saudi Arabia. The role supports the EMEA region’s finance function through month-end close, reconciliations, VAT and compliance work, and intercompany activities.

The candidate should have 4–6 years of industry experience, be a qualified accountant, and proficient in SAP and MS Excel. The position involves liaising with auditors and local accountants, ensuring timely financial reporting, and contributing to process

Qualifications

• KSA National only. We are unable to consider anyone on a work permit.
• Qualified accountant with 4-6 years' industry experience.
• Experience in an international multi-site business with exposure to FX transactions.
• Experience in preparing local GAAP financial statements.
• Experience in VAT preparation, review and submission; training provided.
• Strong MS Excel skills; SAP experience or similar ERP required.
• Professional services background is desirable; able to meet deadlines.
• Demonstrates teamwork and effective communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Month end - GAAP.
• Complete monthly close to global deadlines, including posting month-end journals.
• Review monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve differences.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and invoicing with Treasury involvement.
• Prepare local statutory accounts and support fiscal/compliance filings (VAT, etc.).
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and cost allocations by business unit.
• Coordinate with external advisers, auditors and local accountants.
• Support ERP system integration testing and data review.
