About The Role
At OMQ, the Senior Project Manager plays a critical leadership role in managing end-to-end event projects, ensuring seamless execution, high-quality delivery, and full alignment with client expectations.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage event projects from initiation to final delivery.
- Review and validate project scope, requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and execution roadmaps.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams (Creative, Production, Logistics, Technical, etc.).
- Assign tasks, define responsibilities, and ensure accountability across all project teams.
- Monitor project progress, milestones, and budgets, ensuring alignment with approved plans.
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies early, and proactively implement mitigation plans.
- Act as the main point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients regarding project execution.
- Oversee on-site implementation and ensure adherence to timelines, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage urgent changes, last-minute requests, and unexpected challenges with minimal disruption.
- Ensure proper site readiness, handover, and post-event closure activities.
- Prepare and present project status reports, lessons learned, and performance insights to management.
- Document project execution processes and outcomes for future reference and improvement.
- Coach, guide, and support Project Managers and Project Coordinators when applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement by recommending enhancements to project management processes, tools, and workflows.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in project management, preferably within the events, exhibitions, or production industry.
- Proven experience managing large-scale, complex, and multi-stakeholder projects.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle, risk management, and resource planning.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
- High proficiency in project management tools and operational systems.
- Excellent planning, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- Language: Fluency in Arabic with strong English proficiency.
