Job description

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Project and Construction Management team in Riyadh.

This opportunity lies within our Infrastructure Division and requires specific expertise in working on Civil Engineering and Transportation projects, particularly those involving roads, highways, bridges, and tunnels in urban environments. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating all technical aspects related to electrical work, including quality control, drawing revision, value engineering and technical construction method revision and follow up. You should coordinate with all the other relevant senior specialties with special focus in irrigation, mechanical, lighting and ITS, among others.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Main descriptions of the job position:

• Technical control of all electrical works as well as coordination with all other discipline specialists and with the persons responsible for quality control.
• Amplifies or resolves design issues, where possible, or coordinates design issues with home office support.
• Advises technically on design changes.
• Oversees the Contractor’s technical submissions, shop drawings, materials, and design submissions.
• Final review of all Contractor’s review drawings, schedules, or materials submittals to ensure compliance with the overall objectives of the design concepts of the project.
• Reviews and comments on all Contractor supplied O&M manuals.
• Assessment and technical reporting on any Value Engineering proposals.
• Reviews and comments on Contractor supplied maintenance materials, tools, and equipment.
• Acts as point of contact between the electrical engineering department and the Technical Manager.

ABOUT YOU

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering and/or equivalent work experience.
• Applicable Experience: over 15 years in project management, particularly in mega construction projects, with a focus on onsite landscaping, mainly as a Consultant. Candidates with exclusive contractors experience will not be taken into consideration.
• Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
• Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
• Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
• Report writing skills, social skills, communication, teamwork, problem solving, autonomy, flexibility, and technical rigor.
• Willingness to work in a multinational environment firm.

Additional requirements

• Transferable Iqama in case of non-Saudi.
