Job description

Atkins has been commissioned to embed a Construction Project Management team into a key client’s office based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The team has been in place since June 2012. The client operates within the Defence Sector and is implementing a SAR 2bn civil / infrastructure program over the next 3 to 4 years. The Atkins team is responsible for managing the client’s construction program including the appointment of designers and contractors, reviewing, reporting and auditing consultants/contractors submissions. This role reports to the Design Manager.

Principle Accountabilities

• Advising the Design Manager on technical matters in core discipline
• Managing quality and technical compliance
• Monitoring work executed
• Interface with other disciplines, MOD and contractors

Technical Requirements - Essential

• Degree qualified in core design discipline (Electrical)
• Chartered Engineer (or equivalent)
• Candidate must be Western educated
• Minimum of 5 years of post graduate professional experience of which 2 will have been in a similar senior position
• At least 2 years experience on multi-disciplinary design projects
• Detailed knowledge of applicable international design standards
• Experience of technical design software
• Sound technical skill set
• Commercial awareness with regards to design advice
• Working knowledge of Health & Safety best practices
• Administrative skills
