Job summary

Oivan Group Oy in Riyadh is seeking an experienced DevSecOps Engineer to design and operate secure, scalable platforms for enterprise clients. You will bridge development, operations, and security across CI/CD, cloud, and container orchestration while facing client engagements on-site.

You’ll lead migrations, implement IaC, and enforce security within pipelines for mission-critical environments in the Middle East region.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or Platform Engineering.
• Experience in on-premise enterprise environments is essential.
• Ability to work independently in a customer-facing role.

Responsibilities

• Build and run CI/CD pipelines using GitLab following DevSecOps best practices.
• Design, implement, and manage cloud and hybrid environments (GCP/OCI/Azure).
• Automate provisioning with Terraform and Ansible.
• Operate Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher, and OpenStack platforms.
• Deploy and manage PostgreSQL and Redis clusters for high availability.
• Implement and operate Consul for service discovery and configuration.
• Design and test Disaster Recovery solutions and failover strategies.
• Lead discovery and migration from existing DevOps platforms to GitLab environments.
• Stand up GitLab on-premise environments and reference architectures.

Why This Role Matters

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will design and operate the platforms that let our clients build, ship, and run software safely at enterprise scale. You will work across CI/CD, cloud, container orchestration, and security - bridging the gap between development, operations, and security teams so that releases are fast, repeatable, and secure.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role based in Riyadh. You will work on complex, mission-critical environments, lead discovery and migration activities, and help raise the bar on how Oivan delivers engineering platforms.

What You'll Do

• Build and run CI/CD: Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, following DevOps and DevSecOps best practices.
• Architect cloud and hybrid environments: Design, implement, and manage cloud and hybrid environments across GCP, Oracle Cloud, or Azure.
• Automate with IaC: Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and Ansible).
• Operate container platforms: Design and operate container platforms using Kubernetes, SUSE Rancher, and OpenStack.
• Run resilient data services: Deploy, manage, and maintain PostgreSQL clusters and Redis clusters (Sentinel-based) for high availability and resilience.
• Manage service discovery: Implement and operate Consul clusters for service discovery and configuration management.
• Design for resilience: Design and test Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, including data replication, failover strategies, and DR networking setup.
• Lead discovery and migration: Lead discovery and assessment of existing SDLC, CI/CD, and infrastructure environments, and plan and execute migrations from existing GitLab instances or other DevOps platforms (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Bitbucket) to new GitLab environments.
• Stand up GitLab: Install, configure, and operate GitLab on-premise environments, and design GitLab reference architectures.
• Document operations: Create and maintain Runbooks and Playbooks for product- and project-based operations.
• Embed security: Implement security scanning and automated security testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Bridge teams: Connect Development, Operations, and Security teams to deliver secure, reliable platforms.
• Keep platforms healthy: Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize platform performance, availability, and reliability.
• Share knowledge: Conduct training sessions and knowledge transfer for customers and internal teams.
• Engage clients: Work closely with customer stakeholders in on-site engagements in KSA.

What You Have

Core Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or Platform Engineering.
• Strong experience working in on-premise enterprise environments.
• Ability to work independently in a customer-facing role.
