Job summary

Hill International is recruiting a Lead Cost Engineer for an infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia, heading a team of cost engineers and shaping the cost engineering strategy used across the project.

Duties include preparing cost estimates for materials, labour and plant, reviewing designs, specifications and contracts for their cost consequences, and monitoring expenditure across the project lifecycle with corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction management or related field.
• Minimum of twenty years in cost engineering, with prior service as a lead cost engineer or in a comparable senior post.
• Experience with cost estimating software CostX and strong analytical capacity.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost engineering team and set cost strategy across the project.
• Prepare cost estimates for materials, labour and plant.
• Review designs, specifications and contracts for their cost consequences.
• Monitor expenditure across the project lifecycle and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts and financial analyses for stakeholders.
• Mentor junior cost engineers.
