Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Cost Engineer for the Process Plant on the Ar Rjum Project in Saudi Arabia. You will lead cost analysis, forecast costs, review trends, and implement cost control for the General Construction Contractor across concrete, structural, mechanical, piping, platework, electrical and instrumentation scopes.

You will prepare budgets and cashflow forecasts, monitor contractor progress, and provide variance analysis to management and clients.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project/Construction Management or related fields (or international equivalent).
10–15 years of relevant experience; alternatively, 15–20 years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain cost budgets and accurate cost & cashflow forecasts; perform ongoing cost & cash flow analysis.
Monitor progress of contractors, verify monthly incurred costs, prepare monthly accruals and provide variance analysis.
Ensure approved trends and changes are incorporated into the overall project estimate at completion (EAC) and budget for cost and quantities.
Prepare routine performance reports and special studies related to assigned scope for presentation to project, corporate, and/or customer management team(s).
Maintain open communications with other organizations to support cost engineering analysis and control activities
