Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering invites an Expert Specialist in Control Systems for large IBR-based plants including 1 GW scale solar, wind, BESS, and hybrid configurations. You will lead architecture development, ensure grid-code compliance, and oversee testing from concept to commissioning.

Primary scope includes AGC, RTDS/HIL validation, and cyber-security implementations across DCS/SCADA interfaces, with emphasis on PH/ESS and microgrid interactions.

Qualifications

• 15 years overall experience in control system engineering for large power plants and microgrids.
• 5+ years in technical leadership roles overseeing control system design and integration.
• Hands-on experience from conceptual engineering to detailed engineering, FAT/SAT and commissioning.
• Thorough knowledge of grid code requirements and interfacing with various power elements like Inverter, STATCOM, WTG, BESS.
• Familiar with communication protocols (Modbus, IEC 61850, Goose) and power quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualization and Engineering: develop control system architecture, ensure grid code compliance across PV/IBR/hybrid plants.
• Testing, Commissioning and Troubleshooting: field tuning, RTDS/HIL validation, and root cause analysis for control performance.
