Job summary

Ernst & Young AE seeks an experienced data engineering consultant to translate business strategies into robust data platforms and pipelines across client engagements in the Saudi market.

You will architect end-to-end data solutions, design modern architectures, and collaborate with stakeholders to enable analytics, BI, and AI use cases. The role includes proposal shaping and mentoring junior team members.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of experience in data engineering or Data & AI consulting.
• Experience with SQL and Python for data engineering use cases.
• Experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT development, and pipeline orchestration.
• Strong storytelling and client presentation skills.
• Experience across cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and on-premise technologies.

Responsibilities

Job description

You will work closely with clients across the Saudi market to translate business strategies into robust data engineering solutions while contributing to client engagements proposals and wider practice growth in the region

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of end-to-end data engineering solutions across multiple client engagements Architect build and optimize scalable data platforms and data pipelines for analytics BI and AI use cases Design and implement modern data architectures including medallion and lakehouse patterns across cloud and on-premise environments Develop robust data models and pipelines ensuring performance reliability security and governance Collaborate with business stakeholders data scientists and analytics teams to enable AI-driven solutions Support data modernization and migration initiatives including legacy-to-cloud transitions Prepare and deliver high-quality client materials including presentations solution designs and executive-level narratives Contribute to proposal development solution shaping estimations and commercial discussions Coach and mentor junior team members and contribute to EY knowledge assets

Skills and Attributes for Success

Experience and Qualifications

3-7 years of experience in data engineering and or Data amp AI consulting Prior experience in a consulting or professional services environment is strongly preferred Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Engineering Data Science or a related field Experience delivering projects within large complex organizations is an advantage

Language Requirements
