Confidential in Riyadh is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead the commercial function for major construction projects. The role focuses on contract and cost management, profitability, and risk mitigation across the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will oversee pre-award through completion, supervise procurement and subcontracting, negotiate variances and claims, and work with senior leadership to drive value.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of commercial management with Tier 1 contractors.
• Experience delivering multi-billion SAR projects, including high-rise towers.
• Strong contract administration, cost control, and procurement experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all commercial operations from pre-award to project completion.
• Develop strategies to maximize project profitability.
• Direct contract administration and manage commercial risks.
• Oversee budgets, cost planning, forecasting, and cash flow.
• Lead procurement, tendering, and subcontract management.
• Negotiate variations, claims, and EOTs.
• Monitor performance, identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with PM, engineering, procurement, finance, and leadership.
• Lead commercial negotiations with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Establish governance, cost controls, reporting, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop commercial teams.
