Job summary

Prospex CRM is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead backend design and development of our procure-to-pay platform. You will collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to architect scalable systems and resilient APIs.

You will own API design, optimize MongoDB and data stores, and mentor junior developers while driving reliability and performance. This remote role emphasizes a microservices-first approach and ERP integrations.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend engineering experience with MEAN stack.
• Experience building distributed, scalable backend systems and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and real-time communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead system architecture for backend platforms ensuring security, reliability, and performance.
• Develop scalable backend services, APIs, and microservices for procure-to-pay workflows.
• Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Drive integrations with external systems, including ERPs like Oracle Fusion.
• Optimize database queries and data storage (MongoDB) for performance/sustainability.
• Troubleshoot, upgrade, and evolve existing backend systems to improve scalability.
• Provide mentorship and enforce best practices through code reviews.
