Job summary

Deloitte Middle East in Jeddah is seeking an experienced auditor to contribute to high‑quality public audit services. You will engage with stakeholders, understand client expectations, and deliver compliant audits across multi‑jurisdictional engagements.

The role requires a degree in accounting, 4+ years in public auditing, and fluent English. SOCPA/CA/ACCA/CPA are desirable qualifications. The team offers exposure to large clients and a collaborative working environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in public auditing and accounting, preferably with Big Audit Firms.
• An international accounting qualification is desired: SOCPA, CA, ACCA, or CPA.
• Fluent in English (Reading, Speaking, and Writing). Preference for bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).

Responsibilities

• Builds trust and credibility with stakeholders by understanding their service level expectations.
• Delivers high quality services by considering regulation and risk management on business processes and controls.
• Takes responsibility for understanding key statistics and industry matters about the entity before engagement.
• Adapts referral instructions to outline the scope of procedures and audit focus.
• Understands the group audit structure and intended recipients of referral instructions.
• Liaises with onshore/offshore Centers of Excellence in delivering the tasks.
• Assists in tracking deliverables from component auditors and their relevance.
• Links risks, controls, procedures and findings across the EMS file timely.
• Articulates audit quality milestones and how milestones contribute to quality.
• Understands audit plan timings and challenges early execution if possible.
• Prepares documentation distinguishing accounting and auditing judgments.
• Develops relationships beyond finance to better understand the entity's business.
• Awareness of risks around engagement lifecycle and regulatory environment.
