Job summary

BDO Saudi Arabia, Dr. Mohamed Al-Amri & Co. is seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager for its Business Services & Outsourcing (BSO) Department.

The role emphasizes strong accounting experience, IFRS expertise, and Saudi tax compliance, with responsibilities across financial reporting, GL, VAT, and payroll functions. The ideal candidate will supervise payments, prepare financial statements, support engagement letters, and help grow the BSO practice by acquiring new clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in the accounting field.
• Professional certification such as CMA, ACCA, or CPA is preferred.
• Very good knowledge of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
• Strong understanding of Saudi tax types and principles relevant to accounting.
• Hands-on experience with ERP/accounting software (Sage, SAP, Oracle).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, presentation, management, and negotiation skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with and guide diverse teams.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Currently based in Saudi Arabia is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the preparation and processing of payments and maintain accounting records.
• Reconcile account balances and bank statements.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
• Maintain the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.
• Prepare draft statutory financial statements and schedules for auditors.
• Coordinate VAT and Withholding Tax filings with consultants.
• Develop and document business/ accounting cycles for internal controls.
• Exercise financial control over payments to vendors and employees.
• Work hands-on with ERP/accounting software (Sage, SAP, Oracle).
• Support marketing of BSO services and prepare proposals and engagement letters.
• Maintain archiving and document control related to accounting.
• Assist in growing the BSO Department and acquiring new clients.
