Job summary

ASSYSTEM in Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, is seeking an Accountant with 3–5 years of experience to join our finance team on a fixed-term contract. You will maintain the general ledger, process payables and receivables, and support month-end close and VAT compliance under ZATCA rules.

The role emphasizes accurate reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and assisting auditors. A SOCPA-registered candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred, with CPA/CMA/ACCA being a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field.
• 3–5 years’ accounting experience in professional services or engineering environments.
• SOCPA registration preferred/required; CPA/CMA/ACCA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate coding of transactions.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable and vendor invoicing.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and assist with month-end close.
• Prepare VAT returns under ZATCA regulations and ensure e-invoicing compliance.
• Produce balance sheets, P/L, cash flow reports; support audits.
