Job summary

Saudi Gold Refinery SGR in Riyadh is seeking an Accountant to manage daily financial recording and reconciliation activities across refining operations. You will support monthly closes, maintain the general ledger, and ensure VAT compliance under Saudi regulations.

The role reports to the Finance Manager and focuses on cost accounting, inventory valuation, and asset management in a regulated industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university.
• Proficiency inSaudi VAT regulations and experience with ZATCA filing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain general ledger by posting journal entries for refining costs, bullion inventory movements, and corporate expenses.
• Calculate and file monthly/quarterly VAT returns through ZATCA portal in compliance with Saudi tax laws.
• Reconcile physical bullion and dore inventory with system records and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts including cash, inventory, and accrued liabilities.
• Maintain fixed asset register and calculate depreciation for plant, equipment, and corporate assets.
• Prepare audit schedules and retrieve documentation for external auditors.
• Allocate refining costs to production batches for accurate COGS reporting.
