Title (Sales Manager)
Key Accountabilities:
Financial/Monetary: (Revenue/Cost):
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual hotel/segment revenue targets in line with the approved budget, business plan, and commercial strategy.
- Achieve monthly and annual room night targets while driving profitable business from assigned segments and accounts.
- Monitor team and account production against revenue, room night, ADR, and activity targets and implement corrective action where required.
- Maximize revenue from rooms, groups, meetings, events, and other hotel services through effective selling, cross-selling, and account development.
- Drive new revenue-generating accounts while growing production and market share from existing key accounts.
- Ensure negotiated rates, corporate agreements, and commercial offers follow approved pricing, revenue strategy, and authorization guidelines.
Customer/Client: (Internal/External):
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with existing and potential clients through regular daily sales calls & client visits, daily telemarketing & daily follow-ups
- Conduct the assigned number of daily physical sales calls/client visits along with daily telemarketing and ensure each visit is properly planned, recorded, and followed up.
- Identify new business opportunities and strengthen account relationships.
- Understand client requirements and recommend suitable hotel products, services, rates, and solutions to maximize business opportunities and client satisfaction.
- Conduct hotel site inspections and presentations for prospective clients and ensure timely follow-up on inquiries, proposals, contracts, and business opportunities.
- Coordinate with relevant internal departments to ensure all confirmed client requirements are accurately communicated and effectively delivered.
- Handle client feedback and concerns professionally and elevate matters when necessary to maintain strong and long-term business relationships.
Suppliers/Vendors: (Regulators/Others):
- Maintain professional relationships with all segments, corporates, travel agencies, DMCs, event organizers, corporate travel partners, and other relevant business partners.
- Represent the hotel professionally during exhibitions, trade events, networking opportunities, sales blitzes, roadshows, and other external business activities.
- Ensure all external business dealings are conducted in accordance with the hotel's policies, approved commercial terms, and applicable regulations.
People/Employee: (Unit/Group wide):
- Contribute actively to the achievement of the overall Sales & Marketing Department's revenue, room night, and business development objectives. Coach and support Sales Executives through joint calls, account planning, performance reviews, training, and continuous on-the-job development.
- Take individual ownership and accountability for assigned sales targets, accounts, market segments, and sales activities.
- Conduct and manage daily sales meetings and team briefings after alignment with the HOD - Director of Sales (DOS), ensuring priorities, targets, follow-ups, market updates, and action plans are clearly communicated to the team.
- Report directly to and remain fully aligned with the HOD - Director of Sales (DOS) on sales strategy, account priorities, pricing direction, team performance, key client matters, and all major commercial activities.
- Participate actively in sales meetings, revenue meetings, training sessions, sales blitzes, performance reviews, and other departmental activities.
- Maintain effective communication and teamwork while regularly sharing relevant market intelligence, competitor information, client feedback, and potential business opportunities with the commercial team.
Internal Processes/Practices: (Productivity/Quality/Compliance/Reporting):
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through regular prospecting, market research, sales calls, telemarketing, networking, and lead generation.
- Achieve the assigned daily sales calls/client visits and telemarketing targets, ensuring proper and timely follow-up on all leads and opportunities.
- Conduct regular Comp-Set surveys and market intelligence, monitoring competitor activities, rates, market trends, upcoming events, new projects, and potential business opportunities.
- Maintain accurate and timely daily sales reporting, including sales activities, client visits, telemarketing, leads, follow-ups, and account updates.
- Monitor individual performance against monthly and annual revenue, room night, sales activity, and new account targets, taking necessary action to address any shortfalls.
- Prepare and present weekly/monthly sales performance reports and presentations, highlighting achievements, account production, market intelligence, opportunities, challenges, and action plans.
- Maintain accurate client profiles, account production, sales activities, proposals, agreements, and other required information within the hotel's systems.
- Ensure proper market segmentation, rate codes, documentation, and compliance with the hotel's approved sales procedures and commercial guidelines.
- Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly sales performance reports and presentations, aligned with and reported directly to the HOD - Director of Sales (DOS), covering targets, achievements, account production, pipeline, market intelligence, challenges, and action plans.
