The crucial information derived from our tests, instruments, and informatics systems is often the first step in patient care decision-making for hundreds of health conditions from heart attacks to blood disorders to infectious diseases and cancers.

Description

The role of the Sales manager Cardiometabolic, Rapid Diagnostics within each of these core markets is to ensure Abbott Rdx Cardiometabolic leads in the move toward Point‑of‑Care testing via the primary care and hospitals in both government and private sector. This will require managing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders and pathways. An entrepreneurial, high‑caliber self‑starter with a proven track record and a consistent high achiever in the healthcare sales arena will contribute to Cardiometabolic growth and development working across all levels within the KSA, Public Health and Local Authority settings. This role involves researching, identifying, assimilating and prioritizing key opportunities within a region. The role focuses on developing and growing key accounts for Abbott’s Cardiometabolic products and services in partnership with other business functions. You will implement national and regional strategies including mapping out and building stakeholder relationships. This requires the ability to meet and exceed sales revenue and growth targets on a long‑term basis. The sales manager is expected to lead and initiate projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives. The role is regional but may have national elements. Depending on your areas of expertise you may be asked to assist colleagues in other parts of the MENA region.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Development of markets and customers, achieving sales targets, providing general customer service in the various areas of responsibility.
  • Responsibility for the development and execution of the product portfolio within the area within given business unit.
  • Building up a strong relationship with all stakeholders in key accounts.
  • Participating in all sales and marketing meetings as well as all important congresses.
  • Understanding their sales strategies and transferring the KSA marketing campaigns to a regional level.
  • Ability to articulate issues and business opportunities with relevant customers to secure long‑term strategic business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the principles of sales and opportunity management and CRM.
  • Good knowledge of managing numerous stakeholders in the healthcare system.
  • Working knowledge and experience in medical equipment leasing and managed services.
  • Skilled and experienced negotiator.
  • Informal coaching and leadership of stakeholders.
  • IT – MS Word, Excel (intermediate), PowerPoint, CRM system(s).
  • Coordination and delegation.
  • KSA diagnostics & POC environmental knowledge.
Experience
  • At least 5 years industry experience with ideally 3‑5 years of experience in sales.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic industry practices and ideally has familiarity with Saudi diagnostics markets.
  • Thorough knowledge of KSA healthcare industry.
  • Consistent track record of achieving profitable growth in KSA POC role is preferred.
  • Demonstrable track record in negotiation success, securing contracts.
  • Ideally experience delivering change initiatives and facilitating change in a customer focused organization.
  • Ability to think innovatively and not be constrained by current practices.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
Preferred Educational Background
  • Degree or higher in Business, Biological Science or related field.
