Job summary

Elsewedy Electric in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Cable Product Development Engineer to lead development and optimization of cable products, materials, and manufacturing processes, ensuring quality and international standard compliance.

You will evaluate new materials, collaborate with production, QA, sales, and procurement, conduct testing, and drive cost efficiency and process improvements across the value chain.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5-7 years' experience in development and optimization of cable products, materials, and manufacturing.
• Excellent command of English.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, and Project Management certifications are preferable.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve cable products and material specifications to enhance performance and compliance.
• Evaluate new materials, technologies, and suppliers to support innovation, cost optimization, and manufacturing efficiency.
• Conduct product testing, validation, and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with customer and international standards.
• Research, develop, and validate innovative manufacturing techniques and process technologies to enhance cable performance and manufacturability.
• Investigate technical issues, product failures, and customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Sales, and Procurement on new product development and customer-specific requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and maintain technical documentation to support operational excellence.

You're a great fit if you have:

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Materials, Mechanical, or Polymer Engineering
• 5-7 years' of experience in development and optimization of cable products, materials, and manufacturing is a must
• Excellent command of English
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, ISO 9001 Internal Auditor, Project Management certifications are preferable
