Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Saudi Arabia is seeking a qualified Mechanical/Electrical Engineer to manage tendering, BOM, and technical submittals for cable tray systems. You will prepare drawings, ensure compliance with NEC/IEC/NEMA standards, and coordinate with manufacturing to deliver precise proposals.

The role requires 4+ years of related experience, strong knowledge of cable tray types, and ability to coordinate with sales and local assembly teams for smooth order execution and accurate

Responsibilities

• Tendering & Bill of material activities for cable channel, cable containment, cable ladders.
• Deliver with accuracy of the proposed techno-commercial solutions and engineering drawings/Submittals.
• Handling the purchase orders technical tasks from drawings preparations till converting it to bill of materials and release it for production.
• Preparation of projects final documentation as per customers’ order documentation list requirements.
• Coordinate with local assembly team to iron out all technical clarification and ensure a smooth execution of the orders.
• Working with manufacturing, operations and quality departments for better products offering, ideal designs, enhanced quality, and process improvement.
• Prioritize the activities of a multi-functional tasks in the areas of specification review, product selection, cost/price development and proposal generation.
• To be part of cost out projects and materials localizations.

What you’ll do

Qualifications

Skills

• Proficient in interpreting electrical layouts, single-line diagrams, and cable routing plans
• Strong understanding of cable tray types (ladder, perforated, wire mesh) and materials (GI, SS, Aluminum, FRP).
• Knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NEC, IEC, NEMA, BS) related to cable management systems.
• Ability to prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) and cost estimation for cable tray systems.
• Experience in designing cable tray layouts considering load capacity, spacing, and support systems.
• Experience in preparing technical submittals and responding to client/consultant comments.
• Handling of incoming inquires by self-maintaining close communication with Sales team to ensure the best offering to meet the customer requirement.
• Read/evaluate customer RFQs, drawings and specifications to determine work scope of supply.
• Implement proper product positioning, optimized costing in line with customer requirements, end user specification and international standards.
• Liaison with factories for inquiries with special requirements / local assembly items and select special adaptations of products to meet customer needs.
• Experience in international companies across EMEA (end users standard & specs such as ARAMCO, ADNOC, ONGC...)
• Product knwoledge related to Data centers, Oil & Gas industry onshore/offshore applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Software MS-Office, SAP, AUTOCAD, E3D, Solid works.
