The ideal candidate will prospect and close sales leads to help generate revenue for the company. They will also be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the sales strategy. They will have strong management and coaching skills to support the learning and development of the sales team.

Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead the sales department, ensuring efficient operations and effective team management.
  • Develop sales plans and budgets to achieve or exceed the annual sales objectives, taking into account market conditions and growth opportunities.
  • Monitor and control the sales budget to optimize resource utilization and maximize sales outcomes.
  • Oversee the sales team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure they meet or exceed the annual sales targets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to assess route coverage, monitor competitor activity, and identify potential sales opportunities for increased market share.
  • Provide customers with information about new or improved products and services, aiming to enhance sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain an efficient distribution network, ensuring the wide availability of the company's products and services.
  • Enforce sales administration procedures, including order processing, documentation, and reporting, to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate and follow up with the storehouse supervisor to maintain adequate inventory stock, ensuring timely sales deliveries and exemplary customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to ensure sufficient marketing support, including merchandising and promotional activities, to drive sales.
  • Monitor customer returns and work to minimize costs associated with E&D (expired and damaged) and NTE (non-trade expenditure) returns.
  • Oversee cash and credit collections by channel, ensuring timely payments and efficient credit management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business.
  • +7 years of sales experience in Fast-moving consumer goods FMCGs (DRD - Cash Van).
  • Experience managing sales teams.
  • Experience generate and maintaining relationships with sales leads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
