Job description
Overview

We are seeking an experienced RCM Rotating Equipment Engineer (Subject Matter Expert) to lead and support Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) initiatives for rotating equipment assets. The role focuses on improving reliability, availability, and lifecycle performance of critical rotating machinery through structured RCM methodology in accordance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards on large-scale industrial projects.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and execute RCM studies for rotating equipment in compliance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards.
  • Apply the seven RCM questions to identify appropriate maintenance strategies for rotating assets.
  • Develop reliability strategies to maximize performance of pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, fans, blowers, and rotating packages.
  • Conduct FMEA / FMECA and RCA for rotating equipment failures and functional degradations.
  • Analyze failure data and condition monitoring inputs such as vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography.
  • Calculate MTBF and define optimized Preventive Maintenance (PM) and inspection frequencies.
  • Develop and optimize maintenance plans (PMs) to reduce unplanned downtime and maintenance costs.
  • Lead RCM and FMECA workshops involving operations, maintenance, reliability, and engineering teams.
  • Train and mentor maintenance and reliability personnel on rotating equipment reliability best practices.
  • Utilize RCM software (GE APM Meridium) and CMMS systems (SAP) for reliability analysis, planning, and documentation.
  • Support asset health monitoring, bad actor elimination, and continuous improvement initiatives for rotating equipment.
Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience in rotating equipment maintenance, reliability, or engineering.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience applying RCM methodology in accordance with SAE JA1011 / JA1012 standards.
  • Proven experience working on large-scale industrial or EPC projects.
  • Strong technical knowledge of rotating equipment design, operation, and failure modes.
  • Hands-on experience with GE APM Meridium and SAP CMMS.
  • CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification is mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills.
