Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Insurance & Contract Manager to support rail infrastructure projects. The role focuses primarily on end-to-end contract management across EPC, design & build, operations, and maintenance agreements, with a secondary emphasis on overseeing project insurance programs.

You will oversee contract variations, claims, disputes, and change orders while providing contractual guidance to project teams, procurement, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in contract management for rail/infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of insurance programs for large-scale projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end contract management activities across rail projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and obligations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex contracts, including EPC, design & build, operations, and maintenance agreements.
• Monitor contractor performance against contractual KPIs and SLAs.
• Manage contract variations, claims, disputes, and change orders, ensuring risk mitigation and commercial protection.
• Provide contractual advice to project teams, procurement, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support tendering processes, including preparation and review of RFPs, bid evaluations, and contract award documentation.
• Ensure alignment with regulatory, legal, and compliance requirements within the rail industry.
• Maintain proper documentation, contract registers, and reporting.
• Oversee implementation and maintenance of project insurance programs (e.g., CAR, third-party liability, professional indemnity).
• Coordinate with brokers, insurers, and internal stakeholders on policy placement, renewals, and claims management.
• Review contractual insurance requirements and ensure adequate coverage and compliance.
• Support risk assessments and ensure alignment between contractual obligations and insurance coverage.
• Manage insurance claims, ensuring timely reporting, documentation, and resolution.
