Key Responsibilities
- Prepare cost estimates, project budgets, and financial forecasts for construction projects.
- Analyze project costs and identify opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor project expenditures and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
- Prepare tender documentation including bills of quantities, specifications, and contracts.
- Evaluate contractor bids and support decision-making for contract awards.
- Negotiate contracts and manage procurement processes to achieve best value outcomes.
- Collaborate with project management teams to ensure alignment with cost and schedule targets.
- Provide cost-related insights during planning and execution phases.
- Support risk management by identifying financial risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Manage contract administration ensuring compliance with terms and conditions.
- Track variations and claims ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Prepare progress valuations, reports, and final accounts.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project financial performance.
Ideal Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost management roles.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering, and contract administration.
- Experience working in PMC or similar project environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with design review processes and cost impact analysis.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.
