Job summary

JASARA PMC invites a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to join our Centre of Excellence in Riyadh. You will provide expert support across measurement and pricing, ensure adherence to global QS standards, and act as the escalation point for complex issues.

You will oversee in-house QS staff, especially in Furniture & Equipment, review cost submissions, and approve VE proposals and contract variations with A&P teams. Interims payments will be approved with coordination across departments.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of quantity surveying experience in engineering/construction.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert QS support to project teams in measurement and pricing.
• Maintain QS standards aligned with international best practices.
• Be escalation point for complex QS issues.
• Oversee in-house QSs, including F&E specialization.
• Review/approve cost submissions from PMC and external consultants.
• Assess/approve VE costing to optimize costs.
• Approve contract variations with A&P teams.
• Approve interim payment certificates with A&P coordination.

Job description

• Act as the Centre of Excellence providing expert support to project delivery teams in all aspects of quantity surveying, including measurement and pricing.

• Ensure that quantity surveying services adhere to established standards and align with international industry best practices.

• Serve as the key escalation point for complex technical quantity surveying issues.

• Provide functional oversight and guidance to in-house Quantity Surveyors, particularly those specializing in Furniture and Equipment (F&E).

• Review and approve cost submissions from Project Management Consultants (PMC) and outsourced consultants.

• Assess and approve costing for value engineering proposals to optimize project costs.

• Provide technical approval on contract variations related to measurement and cost in coordination with Administration & Procurement (A&P) teams.

• Approve interim payment certificates, ensuring compliance and coordination with A&P.

Education

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in quantity surveying within engineering and construction environments.
