Job summary

Kerry Group in Jeddah seeks a Laboratory Manager to uphold safety, quality, and compliance across a high-volume lab. The role focuses on maintaining calibration, lab equipment uptime, SOP reviews, and material management to ensure product safety and quality in a fast-changing global environment.

The position requires coordinating manpower, reviewing KPI performance, training subordinates, and managing lab disposals, samples, and inventory to support regulatory compliance and Kerry's standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum Degree Food Science or other science disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in food industry; Must possess a thorough knowledge of product line and manufacturing processes, general knowledge of food industry.
• Understand of policies related to international products.
• Knowledge of FSSC 22K, HACCP product safety system.
• Understands GMP requirements.
• Knowledge of food and facility security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review manpower arrangement and daily schedule of Lab Technicians.
• Review KPI and performance evaluations for subordinates.
• Arrange external or internal training for subordinates.
• Monitor calibration master list by factory number and calibration due dates.
• Monitor equipment and verify/calibrate against golden standard.
• Identify restock quantities and raise PR; review inventory of lab consumables.
• Coordinate with proficiency institute for dairy sample purchases and KPI tests.
• Collect data and compile averages for online submission before due dates.
• Coordinate internal calibration program and sample distribution to subordinates.
• Oversee chemical disposal and retain sample management.
• Manage lab safety activities, including SOP/WI/Format reviews and audits.
• Identify contaminants in finished goods and review related reports.
