Job summary

SAMSUNG E&A is seeking a QA/QC Inspector for the Fadhili Gas Increment Program Project in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on performing quality activities, establishing inspection plans, and ensuring conformance to project codes and standards.

Responsibilities include PWHT inspections, generating RFIs, reviewing ITPs/MARs, and maintaining inspection records. The incumbent must ensure all PWHT personnel are properly skilled and qualified per contract requirements.

Qualifications

• Total of seven (7) years of inspection experience with a Bachelor's degree, or ten (10) years with a high school diploma.
• Three (3) years' supervisory experience in oil, gas and petrochemical projects or infrastructure work.
• Must have thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API 620/650, AWS D1.1.

Responsibilities

• Managing and performing PWHT inspections.
• Generate client RFIs for hold, witness and inspection points as required.
• Review ITPs and MARs submitted by subcontractors.
• Control inspection status with an inspection matrix and related tools.
• Coordinate inspections with client and ensure PWHT activities are properly executed.

Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

• Perform quality activities in accordance with quality management system established.
• Establish inspection and test plans and its record forms as per project requirements and international codes and standards.
• Carry out inspections on discipline responsible to determine whether work performed conforms to quality requirements, and recording its result.
• Ensure inspection status is controlled through efficient tools such as inspection matrix.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing and performing inspection of PWHT activities.
• Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
• Prepare and/or review the Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
• Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
• Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing matrix).
• Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
• Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
• Ensure all the personnel employed and operating in PWHT activities is duly skilled and qualified in accordance with the applicable specifications, codes and regulations as per requirement of client.
• Monitor Pre-Heat, PWHT of welded joints and chart review of Post Weld Heat Treated (PWHT) joints.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Experience

• Total of seven (7) years of experience in inspection, if holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or a total of ten (10) years of experience in inspection, if holding a high school diploma.
• Three (3) years' experience of relating to supervision of construction activities in the Contract Scope of Work (e.g.; oil, gas and petrochemical projects, Infrastructure, communication).

Job Specific Specialty

• Inspector shall have a demonstrated background and thorough knowledge of codes such as ASME B 31.3, 31.4 and 31.8, ASME Section V and IX, API 620 and 650, AWS D1.1, required for the execution of the WORK.
