Job summary

A leading construction firm in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Quality Control Inspector (HVAC) to ensure all quality procedures and standards are implemented. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least 10 years of experience in a safety-related role, especially in construction or oil and gas sectors. Responsibilities include supervising subcontractor activities and ensuring compliance with quality regulations. • Inform site engineer of design errors.
• Promote non-conformity draft and inform construction quality manager.
• Report to the construction quality manager.

12 months (Extendable)

Hours/rotation:

Rotation of 60 days on site and 10 days off (paid) & 2 days traveling (paid). 10 hours per day(including 1 hour break)

QualityControl Inspector (HVAC) ensures the implementation of all the qualityprocedures and standards in the appointed area / subcontractor.

He / sheis responsible for performing inspections on subcontractor’s activitiesassuring the conformity to site inspection plans and applicable engineering.

Duties and responsibilities

To ensure theimplementation of all the quality / HSE procedures and standards for theareas or activities (subcontractors) of responsibilities, together with theother members of quality/ HSE teams.

To support the construction material controllerin checking the supplier’s material prior to the start of works.

To address subcontractor activities forhis/her own discipline, ensuring that plant construction works are performedaccording to the applicable engineering specification, site procedures and siteinspection plan according to quality & safety procedures, as well asaccording to the terms and conditions of the subcontract.

To check that the manpower employed by theSubcontractor continuously respect the requirements of applicable proceduresand the quality level fixed by the same.

To check that the equipment employed by the subcontractorare adequate and calibrated as required according to applicable proceduresand to the quality level fixed by the same.

To check that the works performed by the subcontractorconform to the applicable documents, safety regulations, and to the qualitylevel fixed by the same, in coordination with the other members of quality / HSEteams.

To inform the site engineer to make thenecessary changes when detects any design errors.

To promote the non-conformity draft andinforms the construction quality manager, supporting him / her in thenonconformity resolution.

Keeping the construction quality managerinformed, receive the request of inspection from subcontractors and confirmto proceed with the inspection informing the client, assume theresponsibility in case of client’s (motivated) rejection of the inspectiontaking care of remedial action and avoiding the repetition of similar case infuture.

The QCI operativelyreports to the construction quality manager.
