Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a QA/QC professional for Coatings Technology, E&I NDT, and structural welding roles. The candidate will verify materials, test weld procedures, and ensure compliance with codes and company requirements during IMIR clearance.

Responsibilities include conducting QP tests, maintaining PQRs, preparing ITPs, and performing site inspections and NDT. Coordinate with customers and oversee hydrotest activities for tanks and piping.

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma or degree in relevant field.
• Experience in QA/QC, welding, and NDT for structural, piping or tank works preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify materials, mill test certificates, and code compliance during IMIR clearance.
• Conduct welding procedure qualification tests and maintain PQRs for structural, tank and piping works.
• Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications and perform qualification tests at site as required.
• Verify welding consumables BTCs and conduct necessary qualification tests at site.
• Prepare job procedures and ITPs for structural, piping and tank works.
• Conduct periodic site internal audits and ensure compliance.
• Visually inspect fit-up and welded joints of structural, tank and piping works.
• Perform NDT inspections and prepare inspection records.
• Coordinate with customer for day-to-day inspections.
• Prepare piping test packages, review, verify on site and close pending activities.
• NDT clearance of piping test packs.
• Witness hydrotest of tank and piping systems.

Job Description

• Verification of materials, mill test certificates and confirming compliance to the code & company requirements during IMIR clearance.*
• Conducting welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining procedure qualification records (PQR) for Structural, Tank & Piping works.*
• Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification & conducting Procedure Qualification test at site per requirement.*
• Verification of welding consumables BTCs & conduct necessary Qualification test at site.*
• Preparation of Job procedure & ITP pertaining to Structural, Piping & Tank works*
• Periodical Site Internal Audits.*
• Visually inspecting the fit up & welded joints of Structural, Tank & Piping works.*
• Welding inspection (surveillance checks before ,during and after welding)*
• Conducting all NDT inspections and preparation of all inspection records.*
• Coordination with Customer for necessary day-to-day inspections.*
• Piping test package preparation, review, and site verification and punching the pending activities.*
• NDT Clearance of Piping Test packs*
