Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Saudi Arabia is seeking a Welding Inspector / NDT professional to verify materials, weldo/ PQR, ITPs, and conduct inspections on Structural, Tank & Piping works.

The role includes welding procedure qualification tests, NDT, hydrotest witnessing, and site QA/QC coordination with customers, ensuring records meet project codes and company requirements.

Qualifications

• Verify materials, mill test certificates and compliance with codes
• Perform weld procedure qualification tests and maintain PQRs
• Coordinate with customer for inspections and prepare ITPs
• Conduct NDT inspections and prepare inspection records
• Witness hydrotests and oversee piping/tank tests

Responsibilities

• Verify materials, MTCs and code compliance during IMIR clearance
• Weld procedure qualification tests and maintain PQR for structural, tank & piping works
• Prepare Welding Procedure Specifications and conduct qualification tests at site
• Verify welding consumables BTCs and perform necessary qualification tests at site
• Prepare job procedures and ITPs for structural, piping & tank works
• Conduct periodical site internal audits and document records
• Visually inspect fit-up and welded joints for structural, tank & piping works
• Oversee welding inspections (surveillance before, during, after welding)
• Coordinate with customer for day-to-day inspections
• Prepare piping test packages, review, site verification and punch pending activities
• NDt clearance of piping test packs
• Hydrotest witness for tank & piping system

Job description

• Verification of materials, mill test certificates and confirming compliance to the code & company requirements during IMIR clearance.
• Conducting welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining procedure qualification records (PQR) for Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification & conducting Procedure Qualification test at site per requirement.
• Verification of welding consumables BTCs & conduct necessary Qualification test at site.
• Preparation of Job procedure & ITP pertaining to Structural, Piping & Tank works.
• Periodical Site Internal Audits.
• Visually inspecting the fit up & welded joints of Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Welding inspection (surveillance checks before ,during and after welding)
• Conducting all NDT inspections and preparation of all inspection records.
• Coordination with Customer for necessary day-to-day inspections.
• Piping test package preparation, review, and site verification and punching the pending activities.
• NDT Clearance of Piping Test packs
• Hydrotest witness of Tank & Piping system.
