Job summary

Larsen & Toubro Limited is seeking a QA/QC professional for coatings technology, E&I, NDT, and mechanical quality control on civil projects. The role emphasizes verification of materials, welding procedure qualifications, and ITPs for structural, piping, and tank works.

The candidate will conduct NDT and welding inspections, coordinate with customers for day-to-day checks, and supervise hydrotest activities. BTech or diploma holders with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Welding inspection, NDT inspection and QA/QC procedures are required.
• Experience with Structural, Tank and Piping works is preferred.
• Familiarity with welding procedures and ITPs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Verification of materials, mill test certificates and confirming compliance to the code & company requirements during IMIR clearance.
• Conducting welding procedure qualification tests and maintaining procedure qualification records (PQR) for Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Preparation of Welding Procedure Specification & conducting Procedure Qualification test at site per requirement.
• Verification of welding consumables BTCs & conduct necessary Qualification test at site.
• Preparation of Job procedure & ITP pertaining to Structural, Piping & Tank works.
• Periodical Site Internal Audits.
• Visually inspecting the fit up & welded joints of Structural, Tank & Piping works.
• Welding inspection (surveillance checks before, during and after welding).
• Conducting all NDT inspections and preparation of all inspection records.
• Coordination with Customer for necessary day-to-day inspections.
• Piping test package preparation, review, and site verification and punching the pending activities.
• NDT Clearance of Piping Test packs
• Hydrotest witness of Tank & Piping system.
